2003 marks the 11th anniversary of the Global Network.  This year we will hold our annual event in Australia, where the U.S. wishes to expand its Pine Gap satellite spy base to help direct space warfare. Please try to send representatives from your organization to this important meeting.

Thursday  15 May

  • Trip to giant Alpine forests in the high country about 2 hours out of Melbourne organised by Friends of the Earth

Friday  16 May

  • Action at either Victoria Barracks or Raytheon or Boeing (plenty of places to choose from.

  • Dinner/Social

Monday  19 May

  • Free day in Melbourne with local activists at international guests disposal.

Billets are available in the homes of local activists. Hotel bookings can also be arranged in advance.

All conference related functions would be fully catered – both vegans and omnivores catered for.

Weather in May can be a bit cold, with an average of 8 – 16ēC (47 -62ēF).
