International Day of Protest -

Report from: Palo Alto

The rally October 13 in Palo Alto was a smashing success!!!!!!!!  Approx. 200 people attended.  Speakers, flyers,  banners, signs, and a well-received performance by the Raging Grannies made the rally memorable. The district Congresswomen, Anna Eshoo who was invited but could not attend sent a personal message that she asked to have read at the rally.  The letter gives strong opposition to support of the National Missile Defense Program and to the abrogation of the 1972 AMB Treaty.  She further thanks WILPF for its advocacy and "your strong voices add much to our public debate on this critical issue."
