Titusville FL (SPX) - The U.S. Missile Defense Agency has announced successful completion of a complex missile defense flight test resulting in the intercept of two ballistic missile targets.

Command and Control Technologies provided the technology for controlling launches of targets used on the test. Lockheed Martin, prime contractor for the systems, integrated CCT's Command and Control Toolkit commercial software and C2TM Gateway telemetry interface to provide real-time data acquisition and customized launch control sequences for the targets.

"CCTK and the C2TM performed flawlessly. We have some happy customers this morning," reported CCT's Lockheed Martin customer. "CCTK and C2TM are the centerpiece to our command and control solution for vehicle checkout, launch, and telemetry collection. We collected telemetry on the ground all the way to burn out."

"This test demonstrates how our commercial-off-the-shelf Command and Control Toolkit solution saves acquisition costs and streamlines development schedules," said Rodney Davis, CCT Chief Technology Officer.

"Lockheed Martin used CCTK to develop the control system in just a few months at a fraction of the cost typically incurred by system integrators building these kinds of systems."

During the test, advanced radar detected the targets and relayed the track information to the weapons systems for real-time analysis and response. The test stressed the systems to defeat a raid of two nearsimultaneous ballistic missile targets.

This test was the first time video has been captured and transmitted from this type of vehicle during flight. The C2TM processed live video data and prepared it for distribution to U.S. facilities and partner sites around the globe.
